Job Description

Provide an excellent drinking and dining experience for customers. Responsible in greeting and seating customers, informing them of menu specials, taking orders, serving food and drinks, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. Help maintain a clean and inviting restaurant environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Present menu and provide them with information about the day’s specials, menu items, prices, and availability.
  • Provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).
  • Offer menu recommendations upon request.
  • Up-sell additional products when appropriate.
  • Take food and drink orders from customers.
  • Serve food and drinks.
  • Check on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with clearing and setting up tables – linens, silverware, and glasses.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
  • Comply with all food hygiene regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Male or female
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 21-30 years old
  • Good looking and with pleasing personality.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to memorize the Menu.
  • Know how set up table settings.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food service operations, health codes, safety/sanitation regulations.
