Assists customers in their purchases at the grocery department in a courteous and friendly manner.
Provides proactive information to buying customers about product promotions within assigned area.
Performs accurate price tagging of all grocery items prior to display in the selling area.
Prepares and displays accurate and clear signages according to product categories.
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in assigned gondola, storage, and surrounding areas.
Stock Monitoring & Replenishment
Keeps grocery displays fully stocked and faced at all times according to department standards.
Checks product code dates and pulls all out-of-code products.
Regularly monitors and maintains acceptable inventory levels in the selling and storage areas.
Informs superiors and/or merchandising personnel of late or non-delivery of expected grocery items.
Prepares grocery items for transfer with other stores as directed by the superior.
Monitor fast and slow-moving SKUs to provide the superior basis for product re-ordering in coordination with merchandising.
Disposes of bad order products according to standard procedures in disposal.
Others
Operates selected equipment used by the department such as computer, tag machine, etc., in an efficient and safe manner.
Participates in inventory take of the department to achieve accurate inventory data.
Assists in price canvass activities to ensure competitive pricing of grocery items.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of divisional goal attainment or for own personal or professional training, education, and development as planned by the superior.
Qualifications
Education / Professional Experience
At least Sr HS graduate or its equivalent
6 months related work experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations including percentages
