Job Description

Prepare food to the exact sous chef’s specification and setup stations for menu. Assist the executive and sous chef with their daily task to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the kitchen.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items according to exact Sous Chef’s specifications in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications

  • Male or Female
  • 20-30 years old
  • High School or college Diploma/credentials in any field.
  • With experience as a cook or kitchen crew.
  • Knowledge in food preparation and controls.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking methods and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a clean workstation including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves.
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable in FIFO/ PO/SI/RTV.
  • Must be organized and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy items/materials.
